Playing Golf Lessons

Learn how to manage the golf course like a pro!

Scheduling a playing lesson will help you learn the secrets of managing the golf course like the pros.  Most playing lessons take place at a local golf course in the San Diego area.  The length of the lesson will be 9 holes and cover all aspects of the game.  Not all golf courses are set up to only play 9 holes, so in some cases we will dedicate 9 holes to the lesson and then have a friendly back 9.  Playing lessons are ideal for any golfer who wants to shoot lower scores and find more enjoyment on the golf course.  One of the key areas of emphases during the lesson will be shot selection.  By aligning your capabilities with what the golf course presents to you will minimize a lot of headache.  Discipline is one of my favorite words to describe great golfers.  In most cases we have the option to hit the hero shot, but more times than not it won't work in our favor.

Another key area of emphasis will be our short game.  A solid short game will make up for a lot of mistakes and miss hits.  We will discuss the variety of options we have on any given short game shot and how to execute them with the greatest margin for success.  As a coach, I've found that theres no wrong time for a playing lesson.  It's more common to work with my students on the range for a few sessions and then do a playing lesson.  But on occasion it can be smart to start with a playing lesson to gauge where the students strengths and weaknesses are.  Regardless of when the playing lesson takes place we will create a strategy to improving the skills and techniques that were lacking during the playing lesson.  The lessons that follow the playing lesson are crucial towards taking the students game to the next level.  There will be many more concepts covered throughout the round to help you understand your game and the golf course.

I look forward to working with you on San Diego's world class golf courses!
